Awareness talks in schools

Last Thursday, October 21st, we conducted awareness talks in schools to raise awareness about and prevent ageism, as well as to improve understanding of the problem of unwanted loneliness experienced by older adults.

Ageism is a growing problem in our society, characterized primarily by discrimination against people based on their age. In the case of older adults, for example, it is often assumed that because of their age, they are no longer capable of certain tasks, that they are less productive, and therefore, they are given fewer opportunities for inclusion, leading to unwanted loneliness.

At Asociación Adintre, we work every day to combat this type of discrimination.
